Okay, let’s just step away from the whole ethical/subjective argument deal and look at the statistics. In 2010, about 15,000 murders were reported in the United States, whereas about 85,000 rapes were reported. An estimated 60% of all rapes are not reported to the police, so this puts the rape count for 2010 at about 212,000. This means there were almost 15 times more rapes committed than murders.
